故關衰草遍，
離別自堪悲。
路出寒雲外，
人歸暮雪時。
少孤爲客早，
多難識君遲。
掩淚空相向，

There are withered grasses throughout the old pass;
Parting can be just so sorrowful.
Your road goes out beyond the cold clouds,
I shall go home into the evening snow.
I was orphaned young, unsettled from early on;
With the many troubles I haven’t known you for long.
Facing vainly in your direction I cover my tears;
Where in this dust-blown world shall we meet again?
